The Asia-Pacific Innovation Network (APIN) is an independent, non-profit association of legal, management and economics scholars principally, but not exclusively, within the Asia-Pacific region. Its mission is to advance understanding of the system of innovation through both the sharing research findings and the collaboration of research. http://ap-in.org/ As a forum for analysis, APIN encourages research on the economic, legal, social, political and historical aspects of intellectual property rights and innovation.〔http://ap-in.org/about/〕 The network engenders discussion among its members to promote innovation, productivity and growth. These discussions, and the underpinning research, inform and encourage policy-oriented debates with political and administrative bodies and stakeholders in the region. APIN's activities include one major annual conference, two or more workshops per year, and collaborative work among members of the association. It currently includes members from universities and organisations in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond and maintains a balance between the disciplines of economics, law and management. New members are welcome.
